Pratt’s State by State Debt Collection will aid you in the decision-making process for debt collection. This manual can help you throughout the debt collection process and will help you keep your money from going to a collection agency or outside legal counsel to pay for services that might not be needed.
This manual contains a plain-language summary of recurring issues for consumer collection activities or legal action in another state. Armed with the guidelines of this manual, you can make good decisions about issues such as, when to sue a debtor, how to retrieve impounded vehicles, when to seek local counsel, and the like.
