About Our Speaker
Mark B. Baker received his BBA from the University of Miami and his JD from Southern Methodist University. After seven years as an International, Banking and Contracts Lawyer in Dallas, he became a Professor of International Business Law at the University of Texas in 1981 and has been the recipient of numerous teaching awards. He is the author of over 30 major law review articles and devotes the vast majority of his research to the area of international business and law and legal systems throughout the world. Over the last 25 years, Mr. Baker has been an invited speaker for various trade and professional groups throughout the United States and has served as a Legal Advisor to a variety of businesses. He has also appeared on national TV and Radio as an expert in International law and terrorism as well as Corporate and Business Law. In addition, he acts as a legal consultant both here and abroad and as of late has served as Corporate Counsel with Lloyds of London.
